We at the Kurdish and Middle Eastern Women's Organisation in UK (KMEWO) are deeply saddened by this tragic news of the passing of Efua Dorkenoo, she has been an inspiration for our work to end Honour Based Violence and FGM amongst Kurdish and Middle Eastern communities. We will honour her memories with the continuation of our work and struggles for better rights for women. Our heart stays with Efua’s family and friends and we wish them well at this sad time.
